Sydney (they/them) is a queer artist and writer based in Loveland, CO. They create stories and artwork that mix whimsy with darkness—exploring imagination, grief, hubris, trauma, queerness, and the messy, complicated parts of human nature. Their work often lives in the space between wonder and ruin, where magic meets reality, shaped by their experiences as a cancer survivor living with disabilities-- as well as autism and ADHD-- and the sudden loss of their father in 2023.
When they’re not working on a new piece, Sydney is finishing their degree in English Literature, experimenting with new art mediums, roller skating at the skate park, playing various video games, diving into old Star Wars lore, or exploring music and narration. They share their home with their loving fiance, Corinna, two mischievous cats, two chatty birds, and more plants than they can keep alive.
Whether on canvas, the page, or through sound, Sydney is always chasing the next story—one that balances light and shadow, wonder and ruin, magic and melancholy.
